About Us

Audio Technology Solutions was officially born in 2000 but in reality, began decades before that.
It’s founder and current CEO, Richard Wier was already busy doing lighting and sound in primary school by assisting school plays with their Audio Visual requirements, as well as fixing and setting up audio visual equipment for school functions.

He continued this trend at high school and became heavily involved in the school productions staged in the newly built school hall. Richard also joined the Media Crew, for which he achieved Half Color’s.

After school, Richard went to Natal Tech and got a National Diploma in “Theatre Crafts” now called Entertainment Technology. This empowered him to join Artscape and later The Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre.

Upon leaving The Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, he joined an Audio Visual company and expanded his skills in the corporate staging arena.

This experience and many others were an exceptional foundation for the birth of Richard’s career, as an Audio Visual installation engineer. This is truly where Audio Technology Solutions was born and has been going ever since and growing from strength to strength.
